Primary statute §§ 1–2 and 10, corroborated by TTB institutional history.
Approved on August 29, 1935, the Federal Alcohol Administration Act created the Federal Alcohol Administration as a division in the Treasury Department. Section 10 abolished the earlier Federal Alcohol Control Administration and transferred its records and property when the first Administrator appointed under the Act took office.
The exact sections supporting this narrow claim are verified. The Source record remains Partial Source pending clause-by-clause review of the entire 49 Stat. 977–990 granule.
Do not state that FACA was abolished on August 29 itself. The Act tied abolition to the new Administrator taking office. Broader claims about permits, trade practices, labeling, and advertising should cite their controlling sections separately.
The approval clause and §§ 1–2 establish the Act and Treasury administration; § 10 specifies abolition, transfer, and the condition that triggered its effective date.
