Written reading complete. Original HTML is preserved in the Wikipedia package linked from the Source record. Remote images, remaining primary corroboration and page-presentation checks remain open. This is not a fully processed source.

Source argument

The article describes a branded tourism program and its historical expansion.

Evidence map

LINK-216, revision 1332634359: full numbered extraction lines 1–106 reviewed, including written reference entries and any tables. These locators identify the reviewed snapshot, not the underlying cited publications.

1999 founding, 2010 withdrawals, 2012 Craft Tour and 2018 welcome center are distinct. Thirteen versus 28 craft stops and 46 total conflict in date. Main list appears to contain 17 rather than claimed 18, craft 27 rather than 28. A 2018 accessed map cannot establish 2024/current membership. Experiences and shops are not all distilleries; B-Line partnership differs from Trail membership.

No unverified direct quotations promoted. Detailed local critical checkpoint retained alongside the numbered reading file.

Researcher synthesis

Retain tourism development history; obtain a dated official roster before building itineraries or using totals. Completion records are not unique visitor counts.

Assessment

Tertiary discovery evidence only. Preserve contradictory and time-dependent claims as open checks, not resolved facts. Images, native preservation and presentation pending. Source-reading completeness does not prove factual accuracy; no History/profile/trial changes.

Completion checklist

One canonical Source related.
Full written reading and critical assessment recorded.
Author argument and researcher synthesis separated.
Consequential claims supported by checked original sources.
Images and native preservation complete.
Durable claims ready for promotion.
Presentation settings verified.

Primary-source follow-up — September 8, 2026

The KDA's February 24, 2026 trip-builder announcement, opening section and Eric Gregory's first statement, reports 68 Trail destinations. It distinguishes distilleries, tasting rooms and partner experiences and reports coverage in 35 counties. These are dated program figures, not a count of operating distilleries or a verified September roster.

This resolves whether the snapshot's older totals can serve as current totals: they cannot. The precise historical roster discrepancies remain open. The release also attributes the Trail's founding to KDA in 1999.

The June 2024 anniversary page returned 403 during direct retrieval. Search excerpts suggest a program merger but are not treated here as a fully read source. The 2026 announcement's written article was read; the linked video and interactive trip builder were not reviewed.
