Scope And Argument

Printed pp. 265–284; scan PDF pages 293–312; back cover 313.

The back matter is most valuable as a reading trail and a prompt for better records; its tables and supplier information require qualification.

Literature Note

The conclusion returns to learning through informed practice. References on pp. 266–269 provide a route to deeper investigation, but bibliography length is not the number of independent findings. The Alcarde 2011 paper appears under author-name variants; repeated IBD charts and repeated tables do not become new evidence.

Appendix A lists vendors and organizations as the author's period-specific recommendations. Names, offerings and suitability were not independently revalidated as current purchasing advice. The Academy should retain this as publication context rather than expose a dated recommendation list to learners as an approved directory.

Appendix B compares specific gravity with Plato, Balling and Brix. These scales and practical approximations require a declared temperature and matrix. The text refers to an equation below, but the supplied page shows a table instead; the rows for 28 and 28.5 both display 1.120. The visible scan confirms the duplicated value. Reproducing the table as a verified conversion tool would propagate an unresolved defect.

Appendix C's distillation sheet is a useful organizational prompt. An original Academy version can improve on it by separating observed measurements, uncertainty, sensory interpretation, the decision, and later review; it can also link incoming recycle to outgoing inventory. This is a new form inspired by the topic, not a reproduction of the copyrighted page.

Acknowledgments disclose professional and publisher contributions. The index is navigational rather than substantive evidence. Back-cover endorsements are marketing assessments, not experimental validation. All were inspected as part of the full supplied-work review, including the image-only back cover.

These connections extend the existing production and sensory framework; they do not imply that each linked source has been newly reviewed in full.

Academy Use

Lesson 13: an original decision record; library: reference deduplication and explicit correction register.
