A photograph of an industrial ruin records one temporary state in a site's longer sequence of construction, occupation, abandonment, alteration, dismantling, reuse, and preservation.
This prevents a ruin from being treated as a frozen representation of an original distillery. It directs research toward chronology, intervening uses, missing fabric, and the date and viewpoint of the photograph.

Atomic statement
A photograph of an industrial ruin records one temporary state in a site's longer sequence of construction, occupation, abandonment, alteration, dismantling, reuse, and preservation.
Why this matters
A ruined structure cannot be treated as a frozen representation of an original distillery. Its visible state may combine several occupations and may omit machinery, additions, or fabric that once defined the plant.
Research use
For every site image, record the date, viewpoint, surviving fabric, known intervening uses, and whether the image shows abandonment, dismantling, reconstruction, adaptive reuse, or reenactment.
Evidence boundary
Peachee supplies a selective, time-bounded photographic sample and explicitly frames photographs as interpretive. Site chronology should be corroborated with plans, maps, records, or archaeological surveys.
Development status
Developing. Supported by multiple examples within one source; retain until independently corroborated.
Peachee — September29 fresh audit qualification
All274 main-text/caption screens and all-page visual survey were reviewed, with22 enlarged details; embedded fine print keeps full-source completion open. Earlier descriptions of a complete review are superseded. Photo/caption locators now span paired screens. Image67 is an Ohio state price label, not automatic proof of federal bonded control; image112/caption113 concerns vertical alignment, not comprehensive structural safety. Caption206 states warehouse design intent, not measured sensory performance. Existing cross-source contributions and maturity are retained.
