Findings And Method
Experienced tasters and an untrained comparison group evaluated selected wines under organic/conventional information conditions. Expectations and fault-related descriptors influenced interpretation and reported valuation in this study.
Evidence Boundaries
Selected wines and unbalanced organic/conventional coverage do not establish a causal effect of farming method on faults. Fixed-session/context effects matter. The untrained comparison lacks a complete matched information contrast. Ratios of ordinal liking scores are not meaningful percentage gains in enjoyment; willingness-to-pay categories are hypothetical, not transactions.
Blending Lab Application — Researcher Synthesis
Use the paper to motivate separate blind and informed records and a discussion of expectation. Do not teach that organic wines inherently taste worse or that experts are immune to labels.
The practical recommendation is distinct from the authors' tested result. Established chemistry and measurement definitions can be taught directly; a particular whiskey's response, a consumer segment or a profitable offer still requires appropriate evidence.
