Understanding Whiskey Distilled from Wheat Mash
A U.S.-only type made from at least 51% wheat, distilled at no more than 160 proof and stored in used oak. Its designation describes the mash and storage pathway; it is not interchangeable with wheat whiskey. Neutral spirits are not permitted; permitted additions remain subject to the federal rules.
