Understanding Corn Whiskey
At least 80% corn in the mash and distillation at no more than 160 proof distinguish corn whiskey. Storage is not required unless an age is claimed. When stored, entry proof is no more than 125 and the barrels are used oak or new uncharred oak. High corn content alone does not make bourbon corn whiskey.
